The bar here stretches along the wall and the stage is next. And although the West Village is not ~the~ gay neighborhood in the city, it is still prettyyy gay imo. One of New York Citys oldest gay bars located in Greenwich Village at corner of Christopher St & Gay St. Pieces is a longtime West Village gay bar with excellent drag performances and a daily Happy Hour. Oh, and there’s this bar called “The Cubbyhole” which is the only lesbian bar in New York, and guess where it is… Yeah, in the West Village 🤔īeing there confirmed so many things about Taylor, and even if we follow swifties’ theory about False God being about toe, then the line “you’re the west village” would be implying joe is gay given that the west village is so gay haha. I was completely surprised by the amount of gay flags, gay restaurants, gay bars, and queer people in general in the neighborhood! I also didn’t know that the Stonewall monument is in this area as well. So, as a good Taylor fan, I decided to go to the famous Cornelia Street and to see Taylor’s former Cornelia Street apartment, which, as we all know, had a “guest room specially decorated for when Karlie comes to stay” (Taylor’s words, not mine) I’m not from from the US, but I recently went to NY on vacation, and although I had been there before, I’d never visited the West Village.
This post is just to share my thoughts about how incredibly gay the West Village is.
